Website Design & Services
How much do you charge to build a website?
There’s no one single answer to this question. A website design is estimated based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components. We design and develop custom websites specifically for your business. We ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a price estimate based on that assessment.
Can I update my website by myself when it’s finished?
Yes to a certain degree. We encourage our clients to take control of their website and learn how to manage the content on their own website. You will have full access to the backend of your new WordPress website upon migration to make simple text updates, photograph changes, new products and pricing can easily be changed on your own.
Note: This does not include a non-WordPress website.
We do recommend you contact us or a professional (developer) to complete more complex changes and maintenance such as plugin updates, design or structure changes, and complex functionality requirements, even in a WordPress website. We provide hourly tutorials upon completion of your website at $125.00 USD per hour if you need to learn how to navigate through the backend to make minor updates to your website.
How much input do I have in the website design process?
Your input and feedback are crucial to the website design and development process. We request that you provide us with 3-5 example websites before we begin the assessment for your new website. Then we’ll ask questions about your specific needs and work with you to develop just the right look, feel, and functionality. Remember this is your website, and we need your input and direction to reach your final vision. We’re on your team and look forward to hearing your ideas.
Who writes the content and text for the website?
We require that you provide all the text content for your website. You are the expert on your business, so it’s always best if it comes from you. If you need assistance, you may want to consider a copywriter who can help clean up or write original content for you.
Is SEO included in my website build?
The simple answer is No, the build of your website does not include monthly SEO. However, we do install a basic SEO plugin and set that up for you. All items that we add to your website including text, photos, and video can be seen by Google and other search engines but that doesn’t mean you will rank #1. We do offer a one-time or monthly SEO service after your website has been set up.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
We work with all types of businesses. Please check out our WordPress and Html Css Themes under the Designs link.
Do you provide hosting or domain names?
No, you will be responsible for website hosting and domain. This will ensure that you will have full access to your website upon migration. We can and often do recommend hosting companies and a domain registrar to our clients, We will also go in and do the complete setup for you with an agreed on email account for your new website.
When the new website is complete, and we have the final payment we will do the migration to your new host which is included in our website design pricing. We don’t have any hidden costs or fake fees like a lot of others have, we don’t do up sales either. You get what you pay for and everything is discussed up front between our client and us before any work or changes are done. If you need or want changes we’re just a phone call or email away.
Will my website be mobile friendly?
Yes, Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is more important now than ever before! We work hard to ensure your website is responsive on modern devices and browsers. We begin the design process on desktop and laptop computers. So you will need to look at your new design with a modern desktop or laptop computer. After all the revisions and approvals are complete, we go back and make adjustments for the mobile devices. Some things that work great for desktops and laptops just won’t work on mobile devices. We make changes to the mobile design layout to fit and work correctly on mobile devices as well as on desktop and laptop.
How long will it take to complete my website?
Our standard timeline is 3-6 weeks to complete a website but this depends on the size of the project. The size and pace of any project is set by the client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your feedback, and how fast you can provide your content. All effects the speed and completion of the website. The functionality and revisions required will also play a role in your timeline.
Will you maintain our website for us?
We can help maintain your website, or you can do it yourself for the minor changes. We provide on-going support for many of our clients but it is not mandatory and you will not be charged a monthly fee. If you want a maintenance package just let us know.
What if I need help on my site later on?
We are only a phone call or an email away! We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need. We take pride in building a long term business relationship with our clients and we look forward to work on your future projects or updating your existing website. We’ve been doing this since 1994, so we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Do I have to be local to work with you?
No. We work with clients all over the USA and can communicate by email, scheduled calls and other online meeting sources.
Why Don't you show a portfolio?
Since mobile first came into play, portfolios are a thing of the past in our opinion, it’s still useful on desktop and laptop computers but most folks use mobile devices now. Let’s face it, any website on mobile devices are just stacked elements (ie) a few images and some text stacked on top of each other.
Enter the C-19 pandemic causing a lot of clients to drop the extra overhead of their online presence as well. We lost a lot of online shops that couldn’t make enough sales to survive it. So we removed the links to their websites. For now we are just showing our WP themes and Html CSS themes pages. You can find them in the menu at the top. Maybe the live portfolio pages will return one day.
